Away from the capital the landscape is an incredible mix of stunning high mountains such as Mount Triglav found in the Triglav National Park renowned for hiking and biking during the summer months and skiing and snowboarding once the snow arrives.
There are an incredible array of dramatic waterfalls and rivers which are a stunning light blue colour that rip through the limestone at breakneck speed making them extremely popular with white-water rafters and canoeing enthusiasts.
